While sustaining its core operations, the Group, including its executive leadership in liquor, has secured a contract with the Department of Commerce and Industry as a delivery partner engaging youth from the National Capital District under the World Bank-funded Urban Youth Employment Project. This partnership reflects government and development-partner confidence in the Group’s ability to deliver measurable youth employment outcomes at the community level, demonstrating the effective liquor shop management by Mangroves Liquor Shop executives.

Reason for Expanding into Subsidiaries

Addressing management gap

As the business grew, the founder recognized the importance of strong administration and management structures, particularly in the realm of executive leadership in liquor, to sustain that growth responsibly. The Farming Cooperative was established as its own subsidiary and incorporated as a cooperative society to focus on farming, youth employment and training, and the farm market, while enabling youth to become members of the cooperative and active participants in the business. To address the increasing demand for early-childhood learning in the community, The Academy was created as a second subsidiary, requiring its own administration to oversee day-to-day school affairs. Both subsidiaries operate under the oversight of Mangroves Relax Liquor Shop, with Mangroves Liquor Shop executives ensuring effective liquor shop management throughout the organization.

Group & Corporate Structure

Mangrove Relax Liquor Shop - The Parent Company

Mangroves Relax Liquor Shop is the registered parent company of the Group and provides overall administration, supervision, and shared direction to two incorporated subsidiaries. The executive leadership in liquor at the parent company retains ultimate oversight of governance, strategic direction, and community partnerships, while each subsidiary, guided by Mangroves Liquor Shop executives, manages its own day-to-day operations within its area of specialization. The company was first established informally in 2020 and was formally registered with IPA in 2022, showcasing its commitment to professionalism in liquor shop management.

The scope of parent company's management

The parent company oversees both subsidiaries through a shared administration that encompasses finance, community and government liaison, and overall strategic direction. Executive leadership in liquor is exemplified as each subsidiary manages its own operational management and reports to the Managing Director. This organizational structure enables the Farming Cooperative to concentrate entirely on agricultural production, member training, and the farm market while allowing the Academy to focus fully on early-childhood education. Both entities, including the Mangroves Liquor Shop executives, remain accountable to and aligned with the parent company’s vision and values.
