Helen Waffi is the managing director of Mangroves Relax Group, where she leads the executive leadership in liquor. Before this role, she dedicated over 9 years as a nursing officer at Port Moresby General Hospital. Helen holds a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Papua New Guinea and brings her extensive experience to the management of Mangroves Liquor Shop executives.

As the business grew, the founder recognized the importance of strong administration and management structures, particularly in the realm of executive leadership in liquor, to sustain that growth responsibly. The Farming Cooperative was established as its own subsidiary and incorporated as a cooperative society to focus on farming, youth employment and training, and the farm market, while enabling youth to become members of the cooperative and active participants in the business.
